I'm very glad that you're happy with your decision. Brandon is right. You need to keep an optimistic mind set, and I'm sure you're already enjoying your unit with the 'techies' haha. I haven't even met you, but I'm proud of you and thank you for enlisting.
Keep up that optimistic mindset. It's really easy to end up disgruntled and pissed off because, depending on your unit, you can get fucked over. Just ask 'Kristov.' He got out, went back to school and is loving life. I'm actually going to reenlist before I leave this place to get my tax-free bonus.
There are so many opportunities in the Marine Corps that you can take advantage of. You don't have to be a robot, or a Capt America all the time to be proud. Just do your job, do it well, stay in shape and keep your ass out of trouble. Doors will open the hell up.
Started out at Pendleton, and technically I'm stationed in Okinawa, but I've been in Iraq for the past 4 months.
